Reasons to blog

One of these days, I was forced to think about my random decision of starting a blog. Why? Why in the big wide world with multiple opportunities should I write a blog? Well, I am that kind of a person who usually does not do a lot of random stuff, so why this?? Though I could not find a reason I figured out some general reasons why people write blogs. [No offenses meant… It’s all in good humour, atleast that’s what I think. Humour can be a sticky affair though..]
Top 10 reasons to write a blog..
·         To irritate others, mainly with your non-existing sense of humour
·         To fill up the cyber space with sentimental crap
·         To tell the world [or think that you are telling the world, while no one actually reads you] that you have an opinion on everything under the sun, moon, stars, roof etc etc
·         When Facebook, twitter, Orkut etc etc are not sufficient enough to hold your intellectual outbursts
·         To share your utmost personal moments with utter strangers
·         In the hope that someone following you actually finds you good. Hmm
·         To tell the world what you eat, what drinks you like, which all places you have travelled to [and God only knows why you think that might interest others]
·         To write down stuff on issues [usually these are those excessively long and well researched ones] which none of your friends have the patience of listening to
·         To showcase your intellectual prowess [Ya, I am somebody and I have brains: that kind of a message, you know]
·         Plain time pass…. :P
Perhaps one of these reasons is true for me as well. But you need to wait for my blogs to figure that out..
Meanwhile, if you by chance happen to read this you might just comment on what you think is true for me..

  1. Number 9 is my bet ....i think there is one more reason which a lot of people blog for:
    - as a pilot to see if their writing is liked by other people, and take a decision on whether to pursue the hope of being an author...

...hang on this reason might be true for you
